On February 5–10 rector of Riga Technical University together with secretary of state Juris Pūce from Ministry of Economics of Republic of Latvia, representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia and Ministry of Education and Science, and also delegation of Latvian entrepreneurs paid a working visit to People`s Republic of China.
Signing of memorandum of understanding with the Beijing Institute of Technology.
During this visit on February 8 rector attended Latvia – China joint committee 8th meeting. He had meeting with Ministry of Education of China representatives and Chinese Service Center for Scholary Exchange and discussed about highest education quality and about contract which intends for mutual recognition between countries.
During the visit rector had a meeting also with Latvia`s Ambassador to China – Ingrida Levrence.
