AIDEdu Project Training in RTU

This week, Riga Technical University is hosting participants of the AIDEdu project from India and Nepal for training sessions focused on sharing good practices and capacity building. The AIDEdu project aims to develop an ideal teaching framework that meets industry needs, emphasizing outcome-based education and equitable learning opportunities to support global education goals. During this visit, participants engaged with RTU staff and students and explored innovative educational resources.

From 17th till 21st of June RTU hosts AIDEdu project participants from the following universities from India and Nepal:

  • Vivekanad Education Society's Institute of management and Research;
  • Jaipuria Institute of Management Lucknow
  • BIRLA Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH)
  • Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering College
  • Global College International
  • Kathmandu University

The participants had come to Riga for exchange of good practices, capacity building and working sessions on the project theme. AIDEdu project has a general objective of understanding and developing an ideal framework of the teaching pedagogy, curriculum development as per the industry needs, and outcome-based teaching-learning. Developing a center of excellence in management education for providing equal learning opportunities to meet SDG 4 goals of quality education, SDG goal 10 to reduce inequality within and among countries through outcome-based teaching learning and curriculum development, and teachers’ training and realization of the objectives through SDG 17 by entering into global partnerships and cooperation to understand the modern day teaching using technology innovation, outcome-based, peer teacher learning and e-learning processes. During the visit partners met with Deputy Head of studies in international work, colleagues from International Projects Unit, Deputy Head in the field of study process and quality assurance, Colleagues from Institute for Digital Humanities, RTU students, visited Futurimo Science Center.

The project runs from December 4, 2023 and will end on December 3, 2026.

  • Nepal: GCI, KU

RTU is responsible for the project Work package WP2 – Strategy development for inclusive and equitable quality education through e-learning.
