The Riga Technical University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Rūdolfa Cimdiņa Riga Biomaterials Innovation and Development Centre in cooperation with the Latvian Materials Research Association are organizing an international conference on materials synthesis, research and technology «22nd International Baltic Conference of Engineering Materials & Tribology» - BALTMATTRIB 2013.
BALTMATTRIB 2013 will be held during November 14-15, in Riga, Latvia. The deadline for abstract submission is April 1.
BALTMATTRIB 2013 continues the tradition of the previous regular meetings by addressing the core fundamentals as well as timely topics on the leading edges of materials engineering and tribology.
A student speech contest will also be held during the conference. This contest will be supported by the Latvian Materials Research Society which will provide prizes for the 3 best presentations.
The Conference will consist of keynote lectures, as well as oral and poster contributions devoted to biomaterials engineering and applications, materials for energy and environmental applications, materials characterization, hybrid materials, functional materials, structural materials, powder materials and powder metallurgy, coatings and surface engineering and material mechanics and tribology.
Peer-reviewed and accepted manuscripts will be published by the «Trans Tech Publications» in the online access journal «Key Engineering Materials». «Key Engineering Materials» covers the entire range of basic and applied aspects of the synthesis and characterization, modelling, processing and application of advanced engineering materials. The periodical is indexed in SCOPUS (and monitored by all major abstract media).
