From the 1st to the 4th of October Riga Technical University (RTU) Deputy Rector for International Academic Cooperation and Studies Igors Tipans with Latvian mission visited Afghanistan to meet with Education, Transport and other Ministries’ authorities of this country.
During the visit Mr Tipans had a business meeting with representatives and administrative personnel of Kabul Polytechnic University (KPU). The host University expressed an interest to continue cooperation with RTU. In addition, last year the delegation from KPU visited Riga Technical University twice.
During the visit the KPU received as a gift different engineering books, study materials as well as both parties agreed on further mutual cooperation not only within the study programme Railroad Transport, but in other engineering fields, such as Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanics and Electronics. In these fields the KPU expressed their interest in academic staff exchange with RTU in order to improve their experience and knowledge.
