Group from Riga Technical University (RTU) representing Central Baltic INTERREG IV A 2007–2013 finansed Project «UseScience: Leveraging Practical Use of Science for Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurship» – Project manager Mr. Modris Ozoliņš and Communication manager Mr. Aigars Laizāns took part in two big international events.
Mr. M. Ozoliņs presented UseScience Project at the joint international conference organized by Russian Association of Business Education (RABE) and BalticManagement Development Association ( BMDA) which took place in Vilnius,Lithuania, ISM University of Economics and Management on May 8. M. Ozolins presented UseScience to the decision makers and strategic trendsinfluencers in their organizations and universities from Russia. Conference participants got interested in UseScience, they agreed to consider using the platform after launching it.
M. Ozolins and AigarsLaizans presented UseScience Project at the annual BMDA meeting and conference which took place at Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania on May 9. The Project tasks and aims, as well as the main reasons to consider UseScience system and database as usefull tool for scientists and business were presented there.
The presentation called «UseScience: platform for empowering innovations through university and industry cooperation» was presented by A.Laizāns in the session called «Cooperation (international & Local) and Networking for Innovvative Ideas» on May 9. As more than 120 participants from 27 countries – both business and academia represenatives took part in this conference, networking with them allowed to spread the idea of joint scientific equipment and services data base development among the main target audience. Several represenatives of different universities expressed strong interest and willingness to join the network and to addinformation about their services and scientific and high-tech equipment to the database.
